Designed by proven athlete business accelerator BLVCKOPS, SpeedBuild is an accelerated business building experience where hackathon meets think tank, culminating in a lively pitch competition.


 

Designed to give participants a real taste of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur and key member of a startup, BLVCKOPS has carefully crafted this particular SpeedBuild program for maximum impact to jump-start growth. Our main objective, through immersive and experiential learning, is to introduce the fundamentals necessary for bringing ideas and ambitions to life while also providing a framework for better evaluating opportunities ahead.


Are you curious what it would be like to build a business in a day, with a team of professional athletes?  This is the event.

Business Building Competition begins.  Teams of 8 come together with the help of a business coach and a professional designer to build an idea into a business in the course of a day.

PITCH COMPETITION

In 6 hours, teams have built a brand, a product, a pitch and now you compete!   In front of hundreds of peers, venture capitalists and press - teams present their startup pitches.

WINNER ANNOUNCED

An esteemed panel of judges will score each of the pitches - and a winner will be announced at 7:30pm.  Following the pitch competition will be a meet and greet and then the party starts.

AFTER PARTY 

The event opens to invited guests only and the party runs until midnight.   Music by MICK and other special guests to follow...

As CTO, Evan Rostand is responsible for making Coralient a more agile, unified, and integrated company. Rostand joined Coralient as a junior developer just six years ago, and has played a key role in the company’s rapid growth in key markets.

John-Paul (JP) Ramilly is responsible for managing all aspects of the development lifecycle at Coralient. JP joined Corialent last Spring and has so far helped the team build and ship 107 new product features.

Location

THE ESTATE: Villa Mallorca is an estate that sits on 4 acres on Barton Creek in Austin, Texas.  Sprawling views, basketball courts, multiple workspaces and proximity to SXSW make this an ideal location for the Speedbuild event.


LODGING:  We will be hosting all qualifying participants the night prior (3/13) and evening of the event (3/14) at the Barton Creek Resort & Spa just minutes from the estate.
